The Car Free Day, which was held in the 21th of April in Hévíz, was great fun and attracted a lot of people. The event was part of the SportOverBorders project and as participants from Hévíz attended the Car free day in Koprivnica in September 2017, this time a group from the Croatian city visited Hévíz.
From 6 to 12 April, students from Zalaegerszeg, Hévíz and Koprivnica were in Čazma within the project Sport cannot stop at the borders. Theme of the third sport camp was soccer organized by City of Čazma. At the introductory meeting on Friday, 6 April, Mayor Dinko Pirak welcomed the participants on behalf of all citizens.
The Municipality of Hévíz and the Sport Association of Hévíz jointly organized a weeklong cross-border handball camp within the project SportOverBorders. Besides young handball players of the host town, youngsters from the other three participating municipalities could take part. The love of sport that bridges cultural differences and the joy pervaded each day of the week.
